Current Projects
1. Restaurant in IDP camp in Pader
During PFAI's visit to the IDP camp in Pader, the community decided that they wanted to open a restaurant. Under the direction of a seasoned restaurant owner with years of experience, this was accomplished. The function of the restaurant focuses on three community-based goals: The first is to provide unskilled community members with an opportunity to train in both catering and hotel management. Secondly the goal is to utilize the money generated from the restaurant to help others with small business plans and development. At a broader level the restaurant aims to enhance the local economy by purchasing local produce. The restaurant is already open and operational and all reports are positive that this will be a successful endeavour.

2. Grinding Mill
Peace for All International hopes to empower the Pit-Tek’s women’s group by donating a grinding mill which will aid business initiatives. One of the primary objectives for the donation of the grinding mill was to train women in business related skills. Through providing a community service of grinding grains, the grinding mill project allows the women to operate a successful, needed business, with benefits shared as follows: 30% orphanage; 20% office; 15% individual; 20% maintenance; 5% emergence; 10% group savings Through production and income generation women would be trained and encouraged to utilize their skills by offering micro grants to women so they can develop their own small scale businesses. Like other programs offered by Peace for All International they would be encouraged to save a percentage of earnings for future use. Mill management will be overseen by the Pit-Tek’s women’s group and Peace for All International.
